What do you do when music is at the core of your being? You create a record label that gives the youth of today the opportunities you didn’t have growing up.

Growing up, Ace, the founder of Ace Side Records, was surrounded by music. His mother was in a band before he was born, and his father was in an Arabic band when Ace was a child, meaning he fell in love with music from a young age. Particularly interested in rap, hip hop, and r&b, Ace began jamming with his friends like Tommy T, now Ace Side Records’ Audio Engineer and Music Producer, and creating music from his bedroom in his early teens. However, it became clear that there were not a lot of opportunities for young artists who were exploring their talent to thrive within the community. Now, more than 15 years later, Ace Side Records allows all those kids who may not have gotten a chance otherwise to unlock their hidden talent and realise their dreams.

The road to creating Ace Side Records hasn’t always been a linear or easy journey by any means. Unfortunately, Ace lost his sister due to some wrong choices in life, which opened his eyes to how important it is for young people to have an outlet to work through their emotions and life decisions in a productive, rather than self-destructive, manner. His mission was to cultivate a community where youth felt safe and included, an experience Ace only felt in his teenage bedroom with his mates, in an effort to get them off the streets and into an environment where they could explore their creative side through music. Although we all come from different walks of life, there is one thing that everyone who walks through the door at Ace Side Records has in common – an undying passion for music and its creation.

Ace settled on the name Ace Side Records for several reasons; for one, ‘Ace Side’ represents unity or bringing together a community as one and then ‘Records’ because he has created a music label that gives opportunities to those who need it most. Ultimately, Ace Side Records is a culmination of several decades of determination, hard work, and resilience, with music at its very centre, and it stands as a testament to anyone who has a dream of creating music that they can accomplish anything with the right drive and tenacity.

Tommy T, also known as Tommy Two Tonez, is the Audio Engineer and Music Producer at Ace Side Records. A childhood friend of Ace, he has fond memories of jamming songs in Ace’s teenage bedroom, long before Ace Side Records ever came to fruition – although it was always their dream to start a record label. Throughout his more than 20-year career, Tommy T has worked with professional artists throughout Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide, laying the foundation for his current position at Ace Side Records. Nowadays, you will find him tirelessly working in the Ace Side Records studio to record and refine the acoustics of our artists to create high-quality, radio-ready recordings. Beyond that, he’s also well-versed in song writing and is our go-to guy in the studio when it comes to producing sensational sonic experiences.

Since the start of his professional career in 2020, TC (Tom) has contributed to countless musical projects, not only in Australia, but all over the world. Working as an executive producer, mix engineer, and beatmaker, his works have been published in Africa (Nigeria, Morocco, Tanzania, Ivory Coast), the United States, and all over Europe (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Albania, France, Italy, Turkey, Russia). From these works he has had the opportunity to work with some big industry names such as Lferda, YA Goddy (Formerly “Young A6”), OFB Bradz, Fumez The Engineer, Key21, Reemunnii and Indigo Merkaba, whilst additionally securing professional networks with notable artists such as Tunde, Double Lz, MdotR, Himra Saiyen, and K Koke. Through this experience, TC has been lucky enough to have had his works featured on French Television, published on platforms such as Pressplay Media, Mixtape Madness and TooPluggyTV, as well as played on radio stations across England, Tanzania and Australia.

Originally establishing himself as a remote producer, Tom has now started to take a more hands on approach toward his work, completing an audio engineering internship with well established mix engineer “Deeza” in mid-2023, which has since allowed him to start working side-by-side with local artists on their own projects through Ace Side Records since late 2023.

Tom is able to deliver high quality instrumentals in genre such as, UK/Melodic/Sample/Afro Drill, Dark/Melodic Trap, Real Rap, Modern Boom Bap, Detroit x Flint, modernized 50 cent, Melodic Rap, and fully produced pop instrumentals. In addition, he is able to deliver thick, bright, and clear vocal mixes to artists in most rap-based genres as well as pop style vocals.
